Parking Alert: Tower Garage

Parkland’s new Tower Garage at Medical District Drive and Tex Oak Drive will open to University Hospitals and Clinics patients and visitors on Monday, January 30.

The Tower Garage replaces the Lofland Garage and overhead walkway, scheduled for demolition due to the construction of the new Parkland Hospital.

Parking
Valet parking is available at Aston Building:

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Fee: $5 with patient validation, $25 for vendors.

Complimentary Self-parking
A free shuttle then transports patients from the Aston Building to the entrance of other clinical practices and hospitals (For additional information, see Parking Alert: Tower Garage top right)..

Public Transportation
There is a DART bus stop in front of the building. Other public transportation is available to the UT Southwestern campus.

Shuttle Service
Once on campus, patients and visitors may ride UT Southwestern's free shuttle bus service to many of our buildings.

Driving Directions
The Aston Building is located on Harry Hines Boulevard, south of Inwood Road and next to Parkland Memorial Hospital. For more detailed directions, see the table below or call 214-648-6264.

From I-35E, traveling south (from Lewisville/Irving)

  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center 
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road 
  • Turn left at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From I-35E, traveling north (from Duncanville/Lancaster)

  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road
  • Turn right at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From US 75/Central Expressway

  • Take exit 1A to merge onto TX 366 W/Woodall Rodgers Freeway following signs to I-35E North to Denton
  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road
  • Turn right at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From Dallas North Tollway

  • Take Mockingbird exit
  • Bear right to Mockingbird intersection
  • Turn right at Mockingbird
  • Follow Mockingbird to Inwood Road
  • Turn left at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • Once on Harry Hines, keep going straight past Butler Street
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From Garland/Mesquite Area

  • Take I-30 W
  • Take exit 44A to merge onto I-35E North
  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road
  • Turn right at Inwood

From Fort Worth/Arlington area

  • Take I-30 E/Tom Landry Highway
  • Take exit 45 A on left to merge onto I-35E North toward Denton
  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road
  • Turn right at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport

  • Go south on International Pkwy S/TX97 Spur S (Portions Toll)
  • Merge onto TX183 E toward Dallas/Irving
  • TX183 E becomes I-35E South
  • Take exit 432A for Inwood Road/Southwestern Medical Center
  • Stay on service road to Inwood Road
  • Turn left at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • The Aston Building is on the right

From Dallas Love Field Airport

  • Head southeast on Cedar Springs Road toward Inwood Road
  • Turn right at Inwood
  • Exit Harry Hines Boulevard southbound
  • Once on Harry Hines, keep going straight past Butler Street
