  • UT Southwestern's lung transplant program is ranked first in the region for one-year and three-year, post-transplant survival by Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients.

Lung transplant specialists work with a team of physicians who specialize in all aspects of pulmonary, imaging and transplantation medicine. UT Southwestern's transplant specialists also provide the ongoing medical management and care needed for patients who are waiting for a transplant, as well as for those who have already received a transplant.

The collaborative efforts of physicians, nursing coordinators, dietitians, social workers and other counselors enables the lung transplant program to excel in providing excellent care to each patient.
