Our physicians are always working to find new and improved ways to provide our patients with the latest, proven advances in medical science. Bridging research and clinical application, physicians and healthcare providers in more than 40 specialties provide care to nearly 1.9 million outpatients annually. With comprehensive resources available on UT Southwestern’s 231-acre campus, patients receive all components of their care from the initial appointment, testing and medical procedures, to follow-up, all in one location. We're also home to the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated cancer center in North Texas.
Patients are also partners in their care at UT Southwestern. With the option to use MyChart, which allows web-based access to portions of their electronic health records, including immunizations, allergies, medications and lab results, patients can see the same information as their providers, creating opportunities for better patient-physician communication. Through MyChart, patients can also check appointment times and request prescription refills without having to make a phone call.
