New 1-Year Didactic Curriculum Begins Fall 2012
Dissertation Research Begins in Second Year

The UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is introducing an improved 1-year curriculum for the students entering in the fall of 2012! With the goal of a solid and broad foundation and concentrated powerful focus in a specific field, the system has been redesigned to place the students in their laboratories, fully engaged in dissertation research and preparing for a qualifying examination by the beginning of the second year. Attention Undergraduates

Undergraduates are encouraged to apply for the Frank and Sara McKnight Undergraduate Prizes in Molecular Sciences. Cash prizes are awarded to senior undergraduate students for outstanding research in each of three categories: chemistry, biophysics or computational biology, and biological chemistry.
